Reinforcement Bar

A steel reinforcement bar, commonly known as a rebar, is a crucial construction material used to reinforce and strengthen concrete structures. It is typically made of carbon steel and features a ridged or ribbed surface to enhance its bond with the concrete. The primary purpose of reinforcement bars is to provide additional tensile strength to concrete, which is strong in compression but relatively weak in tension.

In construction projects, especially those involving structures like buildings, bridges, highways, and dams, concrete is often subjected to various forces and loads. These forces can cause tension, and concrete alone may not be sufficient to withstand them. Steel reinforcement bars are strategically placed within the concrete to absorb and distribute these tensile forces, preventing cracks and enhancing the overall durability and resilience of the structure.

Reinforcement bars come in various sizes, shapes, and grades, depending on the specific requirements of the construction project.

Toroform provides a variety of rebar material, sizes (up to 50mm) and configurations. Our state of the art automated machinery can prepare your order as necessary for your project with minimal impact to your schedule.
